Of course, the party could only go on until about 2 AM,
and the Science Service staff were not particularly amused
with our proposal of taking this time to visit those monuments
we never really got to see. So we trudged off to bed--sort
of. Actually, a group of about ten of us ended up in Irina's
and my hotel room to pull an all-nighter so as not to waste
the few hours we had left together.

But morning came nonetheless, and we had to say our goodbyes.
There were hundreds of hugs exchanged that morning as we
realized that this really was ending, even though we knew
that we'd make sure we saw one another again.
