I had my last judging interview in the morning. It was
the first and only one I thought went ``well''--and that
was only because I'd calibrated my expectations with the
first three, which I walked out of feeling like an absolute
idiot! As we finished with interviews, we piled onto shuttle
buses to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) to set up
our project exhibits. Some people had sent their boards
already assembled; others of us needed to do a bit of construction.
We all also had to get our pictures taken professionally
with our posters, and give short film interviews about our
projects. Overall it was a bit of a break, a chance not
to be judged for a little while between interviews and public
project exhibition.

In the evening, we met to vote on this year's Seaborg speaker,
who represents the class at the final banquet by giving
a short speech. Although there were at least fifteen initial
nominations, we eventually chose Carmi unanimously. We've
since planned out his presidential campaign.
