  Apple Scholars
[scholarships]

General Description and awards and rules:

Students that utilize technology to solve problems creatively and to learn more intuitively should consider the Apple Scholars program. Apple Inc. established the program to foster the use of Apple products in academia by providing college-bound students with technology and scholarship money. Apple Scholars is open to graduating high school students who will continue their studies at a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the fall of 2007 and who are also legal residents of the United States. Applying to the scholarship entails writing an essay and submitting some original work of video, animation, podcast, music composition, photos, or a brief written work. Winners receive a MacBook, an iPod, and $ 2000! Eligible students must prove their intent to attend college by means of an acceptance letter and proof of deposit to the university. Any employees of Apple Inc., their affiliates, subsidiaries, and so forth and any family members of these employees (or individuals living in the same household) are not eligible to apply.
